The Orion has been designed for easy installation, while providing accurate alarm detection. The automatic temperature compensation eliminates virtually any climatic difficulties. Its RFI/EMI immunity, selectable pulse count, optic protection horn and lightening protection drastically reduce false alarms. Our cable channel makes wiring behind the PCB easy. The no-remove PCB means that installing the detector is done while the PCB is in place. This detector can wall , ceiling , or corner mounted. Additionally, our highly polished ABS housing and smooth edges give this detector its stellar good looks.
LOCATION OF THE DETECTOR
Select a location from which the pattern of the detector is most likely to be crossed by a burglar, should there be a break in.
Select an appropriate height ( 7 ft from floor )
* Avoid a location which comes in direct contact with radiators heating/cooling ducts or air condition.
* Do not place the detector in front of windows subject to direct sunlight or drafts.
* Do not place the detector in front of bulky objects.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Open the housing by removing the front cover. To do so, remove the cover screw located at the bottom of unit.
2. Knock out the mounting and wiring holes located above and below the right aide of the PCB as seen in figure 1.
3. Thread wires through the wiring holes (from the outside of the unit) using the appropriate wiring hole knock outs.
4. seal the wiring hole. with the sponge provided.
5. Attach the base to the wall through the opened mounting holes.
6. Connect the wires according to the following
terminals: (right to left) l=Relay N.C., 2=Relay Com, 3=GND. 4=+Vin, 5=tamper, 6=tamper.
Refer to Figure 2.
7. Optional -If a restricted field of view is desired, mask the appropriate lens segments with the stickers provided.
8. Attach the front cover, making sure to close the plastic housing with the housing screw.
OPERATION AND ADJUSTMENT
Adjust the detection range by turning the PCB clasp counter clockwise and moving the PCB to the 0, -5, or -10 locations.
Setting the pulse counter: The pulse counter controls the amount of pulses which need to be detected before the detector will transmit an alarm signal. to set the pulse count to 1 pulse remove the pulse count jumper. to set the detector to 2 pulses place the jumper over pins 2 and 3. To set the pulse counter to 3 pulses place the jumper over 1 and 2 . It is recommended to select either 1P or 2P for distances above 30 ft.
Setting the LED Indicator: The LED jumper allows for the enabling/disable of the detector's LED indicator. To disable the LED , remove the enabling/disable jumper.
Stabilizing the detector: The detector will need to stabilize for the first 90 seconds after applying voltage.
Walk testing the detector: a walk test is performed in order to determine if the detector is operational or not. To do so, walk across the path of detector. Confirm that the LED activates, and then after 2 motion free seconds it deactivates.
