     The MAVM-750 Series of professional quality, channelized agile, heterodyne audio/video modulators provide audio and video modulated RF output on any VHF, UHF, or CATV channel (50 to 750 MHz). Any standard audio/video source can be used, such as satellite receivers, television cameras, video tape recorders, or television demodulators. These modulators feature frequency agile output and low cost, removable single channel output filter modules to provide a channelized configuration. Stocking distributors can maintain an inventory of mainframes and a mix of both +40 dBmV and +60 dBmV output filter modules. Customer requests for individual chan-nels can be easily accomplished by combining the frequency agile mainframe with the desired removable output filter module.

Modulators may be ordered as completed assemblies or as distributor configureable modules.

     The MAVM-751 is a single output modulator consisting of the MAVM-751-MF mainframe and a channelized OFM-40-750 output filter module.

The MAVM-60-751 is a single output modulator consisting of the MAVM-751-MF mainframe and a channelized OFM-60-750 output filter module.

The MAVM-753 is a triple output modulator consisting of a MAV M - 7 5 3 - F P faceplate to which are attached a MAV M -753-PS power supply and three MAVM-753-MB modulator bases.

The MAVM-750 Series takes baseband audio and video and modulates these signals onto the desired output channel (each modulator has separate audio and video inputs). The heterodyne conversion process used in the MAVM-750 Series employs a crystal referenced, PLLsynthesized local oscillator, with a 12.5 kHz tuning increment. This guaran-tees rock solid, no-drift output for the life of the modulator. Acustom SAW filter is employed to provide true vestigial sideband selectivity with built-in FCC group delay pre-distortion. An external IF loop is provided (optional on the M AV M - 7 5 3 - 4 0 ), which allows interfacing with video all-call and signal scrambling systems. The MAVM-750 Seriesb meets FCC Docket 21006 aeronautical frequency offset requirements (±5 kHz video carrier accuracy) and accepts standard polarity (sync negative) video in the range of 0.7 to 2.8 V p-p. Field-defeatable audio pre-emphasis enables transmission of BTSC standard composite stereo signals.

The MAVM-750 Series products are housed in a single height, 1.75" high, rack mountable, aluminum chassis. An easily removable aluminum case houses the output filter module, permitting on-the-fly channel changes. These mod-ulators have a complete set of level controls, including: video, audio, aural carrier, and RF output. All controls are located on the front panel for ease of operation.
