MCX-V VHF INPUT VHF OUTPUT

     The MCX Series includes professional quality, single channel converters. These units are designed to convert a single VHF or UHF channel to a desired output channel (VHF or UHF). These converters feature crystal controlled oscillators (MCX-V and MCX-V/U) or crystal controlled PLLsynthesizers (MCX-Ub), allowing their use in adjacent channel systems. Four models are available, including: MCX-V, VHF to VHF; MCX V/U, VHF to UHF; and MCX-Ub, UHF to VHF. The entire MCX Series is electrically and mechanically compatible with Blonder Tongue's strip amplifiers and bandpass filters.

     The MCX Series features single conversion circuitry for channel changes without double conversion or external traps and filters. Some channel conversions are forbidden (see chart below) and require the double conversion process used in Blonder Tongue's heterodyne processors. These converters utilize a balanced mixer design and a highly stable crystal oscillator, thereby allowing operation in adjacent channel headends. The MCX Series offers excellent image rejection.

     These units are housed in a single height, 1.75" high, rack mountable, steel chassis. An 18" line cord and AC convenience outlet are provided on all models, permitting easy connections between mounted units.

CONVERSIONS AVAILABLE:

MCX-V: Converts any channel from 5 to 300 MHz to any other channel in the 5 to 300 MHz frequency range

(except forbidden conversions, see chart below).

MCX-V/U : Converts any channel from 5 to 300 MHz to any other channel in the 470 to 806 MHz frequency range

except forbidden conversions

MCX-Ub : Converts any channel from 470 to 806 MHz to any other channel in the 5 to 300 MHz frequency range

MUC-3 Stock No. 1468

     The MUC-3 is a single channel UHF to VHF channel converter. This unit features a temperature compensated L-C oscillator, providing high frequency stability at an economical price. The MUC-3 is not recommended for adjacent channels. Each MUC-3 is factory tuned for a specific customer selected conversion. This unit cannot perform some channel conversions and these are out-lined in the enclosed table. The MUC-3 is housed in a rugged aluminum chassis and can be wall or flat surface mounted .
