[Image] The SCMASingle Channel Preamplifier Series includes professional quality, very low noise, single channel VHF/FM and UHF preamplifiers. These units have an all solid-state design utilizing two `field-effect transistors' ( F E Ts). These devices provide a guaranteed very-high signal-to-noise ratio. The actual noise figure of each individual unit is stamped on the case. The SCMAis optimized for a single VHF/FM channel, while the SCMA-Ub is optimized for a single UHF channel. These preamplifiers can accept a wide range of input signal levels and offer excellent gain, making these units ideal for difficult signal areas. Additionally, these preamplifiers have exceptional immunity to overloads caused by strong adjacent channel signals. The SCMA-Ub can also be ordered with an optional factory tuned internal trap to prevent overload or intermodula-tion problems from strong, local channels without significant noise figure degradation. A20 dB backmatched test port is supplied, permitting the unit's performance to be monitored without interrupting service.

The SCMASingle Channel Preamplifier Series products are housed in a rugged die-cast case. Input, output, and test ports are 75 W, type "F" female connectors. A5/8" entry adapter is supplied to allow use of a 0.412, 0.500, or 0.750 aluminum cable connector. The SCMASingle Channel Preamplifier Series mount on the antenna mast (with supplied mounting hardware) and power is diplexed on the downlead, eliminating the need for a separate power feed. The voltage and current requirements for the SCMAare -21 VDC @ 65 mA, which is easily handled with Blonder Tongue's PS-1536 Power Supply. The voltage and current requirements for the SCMA-Ub are -21 VDC @ 29 mA, which is easily handled with Blonder Tongue's PS-1526 Power Supply. The SCMASingle Channel Preamplifier Series work in conjunction with most single channel VHF and UHF antennas, including the BTYSingle Channel Antenna Series. Blonder Tongue Preamplifiers can accommodate a maximum mast size of 1.5" O.D. (outside diameter).

CMA-b - SINGLE CHANNEL VHF/FM PREAMPLIFIER

The CMA-b is a professional quality, low noise, single channel VHF/FM preamplifier. The CMA-b can accept a wide range of input signal levels and offers excellent gain, making this preamplifier ideal for difficult signal areas. A d d i t i o n a l l y, this unit has exceptional immunity to overloads caused by strong adjacent channel signals. A20 dB backmatched test port is supplied, permitting the unit's performance to be monitored without interrupting service.
