6101IFD Voltage Controlled One-Output Switch discontinued.
Most if not all of these Channel Master Satellite products are discontinued. I just keep this web page up for reference.
I will try to have some alternative products listed
The 6101IFD is a low-loss switch covering the frequency range 40-2050 MHz. One of the two inputs is selected depending upon the DC voltage present on the output cable. A nominal +17 VDC will select input A, and a nominal +13VDC will select input B. The unit uses a relay for excellent frequency response, return loss, and minimum distortion.
Its primary application is with large, twin, tapped-trunk distribution systems. Here, two directional taps such as from the Channel Master range of ultra wideband directional taps, couple a signal from the two trunk cables; one carrying RHCP, the other carrying LHCP. The satellite receiver then selects the appropriate signal according to its output LNB voltage. In US DBS applications, LHCP is selected by a nominal +17VDC and RHCP by a nominal +13VDC. This application is shown in Fig. 1. If the two trunk cables BOTH carry VHF/UHF off-air signals at 54-806 MHz in addition to satellite signals at 950-1450 MHz, then a diplexer such as the Channel Master 4001 IFD can be used to separate the VHF/UHF signals from the satellite signals. These can be connected to the appropriate input of the satellite receiver
