The 8002IFD is a dual LNB power supply for use with twin voltage switched LNBs. It supplies 13V regulated to one LNB output and 18V regulated to the other. It is constructed in two parts. The first part is a standard wall plug power supply, which has an output of approximately 24VDC unregulated. This is connected to the dual power injector section. Here, the 24V is regulated down to 13V and 18V. These voltages are added to the LNB input lines. The output lines are DC blocked. The total current drawn by both LNB inputs should not exceed 600 mA. A block diagram of the unit is shown in Fig. 1
The unit is intended for use in SMATV systems where it is not desirable to power the LNB from the satellite receiver. It is also ideal for powering line amplifiers.
In US DBS applications using a twin switched LNB, RHCP is selected when the LNB voltage is nominally 13V and LHCP is selected when the LNB voltage is nominally 18V.

Model 8014IFD is used in many Channel Master products such as multiswitches, headend amplifiers and LNB power supplies. It is available on its own for replacement purposes. Refer to Model 8002IFD (above) for specifications.
