Note: to use this camera you need to have some basic electronic knowledge because it does not come with a consumer type plug for the video and power. The V-X0095 just has wires which you need to put the types of plugs you require on to.

The V-X0095 is a highly integrated CMOS color video camera chip. It outputs NTSC (PAL) composite video which can directly interface with VCR/TV monitor or other 75 ohm terminated device. The V-X0095 uses 7-12V DC supply and consume extremely low power (25mA at 9V). This single board camera is so small that it can fit inside a 0.84"×0.84" lens holder.

Other features include: on-chip auto exposure for automatic light compensation, switchable gamma correction, gain control, aperture correction, and auto white balance.

It is ideal for all kinds of low cost video applications such as, pattern recognition, highway monitoring or traffic flow, and weather conditions. Also used in consumer applications such as, computer snapshots, infant monitoring and video telephones. Other applications include security surveillance and color identification in machine vision and robotic applications.

The chip uses a 1/3" format image sensor. It supports two NTSC video standards, NTSC with a pixel array of 510 × 492 or PAL with a pixel array of 628 × 582. All circuitry is packaged in a single optical 48-pin leadless chip carrier (LCC).
